Senior Product Manager, Cancer Risk Assessment Product, Remote, Pacific Time Zone

Job Description

Our client is a Global health-care company focused on early detection of breast and lung cancer. They are are the global market leader in their space. 2,000+ health facilities use their software for early detection of breast cancer, including top US cancer screening centers. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to add to their growing team.

With experience in driving product expansion into new markets and a background in cancer screening or disease risk assessment products or clinics, the Senior Product Manager is a critical link in the product development lifecycle, setting the strategic direction of our Risk Pathways product. This role is responsible for working with multiple stakeholders across various regions to ensure we deliver value to our global customer base.

*** Compensation & Benefits : Salary range: $130,000 – 160,000 per year, DOE. Benefits include the option to participate in medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances; a 401K plan with a company match; and generous paid time off. 

Specific Duties Include

  • Execute steps of the product lifecycle for new and integrated product within the assigned portfolio. That includes product ideation, strategic planning, tactical initiatives, product vision, product strategy, product roadmap, product development, and product distribution.  
  • Serve as organization’s market expert in creating solutions to enable our vision of becoming the global leader in cancer prevention software.    
  • Maximize product revenue and growth while considering internal costs/efficiency.
  • Develop and drive the business case for changes to the product offering or introduction of new products/services, including delivery to market to maximize product growth.
  • Direct and implement modifications to the product(s) and introduces new products/services that support our mission and vision.
  • Use well-developed industry knowledge to understand market problems, identify new opportunities, and strategically direct product development.
  • Act as Liaison and instruct stakeholders in sales, marketing, and finance to direct and improve product delivery and launch.  
  • Consider product, technical improvements and information security risks as backlog items to manage throughout the life of the product.
  • Lead cross functional team toward vision of product and manages strategic and tactical activities toward release objectives.  
  • Advise or mentor other product managers or other stakeholders on process, purpose, and vision of product consistent with pragmatic marketing principles.
  • Be a Versatile team player who thrives in a dynamic environment, comfortable working at all levels of the role.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or related tertiary qualification.
  • 7+ years’ experience in product management or equivalent experience.  
  • Experience in the healthcare industry required.  
  • Experience with mammography, cancer screening, radiology or disease risk assessment products or clinics preferred.  
  • Uses industry knowledge to predict future challenges for the product(s).  
  • Possesses a combination of technical aptitude, commercial, and product management skills, communication, negotiation, and decision-making ability.  
  • Experienced in presenting and communicating with stakeholders to maximize product sales and revenue.  
  • Uses relationships across the business and industry to drive product development and growth.  
  • Uses a consultative approach to build consensus both internally and externally.  
  • Has ability to work with teams in different time zones and diverse geographic locations including United States, New Zealand and South Korea.  As a result, a Pacific time zone location is required.
  • Design Thinking experience or Pragmatic Marketing certification preferred.  
  • Proof of COVID 19 vaccination required, except in limited circumstances where a legally recognized medical or religious exemption may be able to be accommodated.
  • Some travel required to conferences or select clients, once per quarter max.
