Financial Analyst, Semiconductor Company, South San Jose, CA

Job Description

Our client is a market leader and innovator in energy efficient power conversion with its highly integrated controller ICs and proprietary high voltage Gallium Nitride (GaN) transistor technology. They are seeking a Financial Analyst for their team in San Jose, CA. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for forecasting variances, manufacturing spending, and preparing analytical reports for management.

Salary range is 100K-110K base+ RSU's, up to 125K base for more senior candidates

Specific Duties Include

  • Hands-on ability to accurately build, analyze, interpret financial data and clearly articulate findings under tight deadlines.
  • Develop revenue, manufacturing cost and gross margin analyses and reports by using standard cost.
  • Forecast variance accounts and analyze actual variances.
  • Forecast manufacturing spending accounts using drivers.
  • Develop analytical reports to monitor drivers of the business.
  • Assist with ad hoc revenue and cost projects and financial reports as needed.
  • Independently improve Oracle system processes and automate reconciliation and manual processes.
  • Forecast R&D spending accounts.
  • Be Responsible for certain components of worldwide revenue close.
  • Assist with ad hoc revenue and cost projects and financial reports as needed.
  • Be onsite with your team 100% of the time.

Required Skills

  • BA Accounting plus 5+ years of related accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Must have strong problem solving, analytical, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Must have Excellent financial and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to quickly work through, organize and manage large sets of data.
  • Must Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively and independently.
  • Must have Experience in supporting the development of budgets and forecasts or other related financial data.
  • Must have strong computer skills, such as advanced working knowledge of Excel.
  • Must have Hands-on experience with an enterprise-level financial software system, such as Oracle.
  • Must be able to take initiative, work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Must have Strong interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and a high emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Semiconductor experience preferred.
  • Public Accounting a plus.
